If you have a craving for pizza but don’t want the unnecessary calories, high carb content and refined vegetable oils, this pizza is for you. It’s packed full of natural protein, and the best part…made with a delicious lean steak mince base! All the pizza flavours you love and a great healthy option for the whole family.
Makes 4 small pizzas
For the base
500g lean steak mince (you can also use chicken)
1 large egg, beaten
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tbsp almond flour
1-2 tsp dried oregano
20g shredded mozzarella
Salt and pepper to season
For the toppings
60g shredded mozzarella
4-5 tbsp passata
Vine tomatoes, halved (2-3 per pizza)
*now what every you like! We used leftover BBQ chicken, but steak, sausages, etc are excellent choices. Getting creative is the best part!
1. Pre heat oven to 200c. Combine all pizza base ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Divide mixture into 4 and roll into shape (around ½ inch thick).
2. Place bases on grease proof paper and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning over halfway.
3. Remove from oven and add passata, mozzarella and your chosen toppings and cook for another 10 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and enjoy!
